Meet Seónadh McCarthy

Psychotherapist

Seónadh is passionate about supporting the autistic and neurodivergent community along with families of children with additional needs. Throughout the years she has worked alongside children and adolescents with additional needs in a pre-school, primary school and day facilitation setting. She has done a range of advocacy and collaboration work with charities such as As I Am and My Canine Companion. She has also been a contributor on Ireland Am discussing ‘Autism Friendly Learning’ and has been a guest speaker on As I Am’s webinar ‘How can I be autism friendly?’.

Seónadh has experience working with a wide range of issues including but not limited to parents/siblings and carers of individuals with additional needs, anxiety, burnout, illness, sexuality, infertility, grief, relationship issues and people struggling with self-esteem and their identity.Seónadh is an integrated Psychotherapist and therefore uses an integration of different approaches and interventions to help you explore and cope with problems. She believes that there isn’t just one approach that can help a client in all situations. This means therapy can be tailored to meet a variety of needs and concerns while focusing on the individual as a whole. She uses a variety of approaches such as CBT and Humanistic interventions. She provides a safe and confidential place for you to be heard and understood without judgement.
