Meet Emma

Meet Sharon Murphy

Child therapist

Sharon holds a Master of Arts in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy with a specialisation in play therapy and is also a qualified paediatric nurse who has been working with children for the past 20 years.

Sharon works with children experiencing chronic illness or

hospitalizations, self-esteem concerns, anxiety, autism, developmental delay, separation issues, self-harm, homelessness, PTSD, depression and bereavement.

She strongly believes that play is the child’s language and that play therapy provides a safe and effective way of helping children overcome any difficulties they are facing.

Her approach to therapy is integrative, which means she integrates a variety of therapeutic approaches during the therapy process and uses the approaches best tailored to the child or adolescent she is seeing.
